1. Overview
YallaFans respects intellectual property rights and expects Users to do the same. This DMCA Policy explains how copyright owners can report alleged infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512 (“DMCA”), and how Users may submit a counter-notification. If your complaint does not fall under the DMCA or you are outside the United States, you may still use this process or ourComplaints Policy.

3. Before You File
- Consider whether the use is permitted by law (e.g., fair use, license, or public domain).
- Try contacting the User directly via YallaFans messaging to resolve the matter.
- Submitting a false or bad-faith notice may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
4. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
To request removal of allegedly infringing material, send a written notice to our DMCA Agent that includesallof the following (per 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)):
- Your signature(physical or electronic).
- Identification of the copyrighted workclaimed to have been infringed (or a representative list).
- Identification of the materialthat is claimed to be infringing, withspecific URLson YallaFans where it appears, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it.
- Your contact information: full name, postal address, telephone, and email.
- Good-faith statement: “I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
- Accuracy and authority statement(under penalty of perjury): “The information in this notification is accurate, and I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
Format tips:Please submit notices in English where possible, include clear URLs, and attach supporting documents (e.g., registration certificates, license agreements) if available.
5. What Happens After We Receive a Proper Notice
- We will acknowledge receipt (typically via email) and review the notice for completeness.
- We may disable access to, remove, or restrict the identified content.
- We may notify the uploader (the “Subscriber”) and forward the notice to them.
- For repeat or egregious violations, we may suspend or terminate accounts per Section 9 (Repeat Infringer Policy).
6. How to Submit a Counter-Notification
If your content was removed or disabled and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our DMCA Agent. Your counter-notification must include (per 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3)):
- Your signature(physical or electronic).
- Identification of the materialthat has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access disabled (provide the exact YallaFans URL).
- Statement under penalty of perjury: “I have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.”
- Your contact information: full name, postal address, telephone, and email.
- Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court with proper venue under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3)(D) (typically the district where you reside; if you are outside the U.S., the district where the service provider may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or that person’s agent.
7. Restoration of Content
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. We may restore the materialnot less than 10 and no more than 14 business daysafter we receive the counter-notification unless the complainant informs us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the Subscriber from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material.
8. Subpoenas and Requests for Subscriber Information
Where legally required, we may disclose Subscriber information in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful request. Requests should be addressed to the DMCA Agent and must include sufficient detail to identify the account and content at issue.
9. Repeat Infringer Policy & Standard Technical Measures
- Repeat Infringers:It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to terminate accounts of Users who are repeat infringers.
- Accommodation of Technical Measures:We accommodate and do not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect their works, consistent with 17 U.S.C. §512(i).
10. Misrepresentations (17 U.S.C. §512(f))
Any person who knowingly misrepresents that material or activity is infringing (or that it was removed by mistake or misidentification) may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Please ensure your notice or counter-notice is accurate and submitted in good faith.
11. Language, Completeness, and Processing
- We process notices and counter-notices that substantially comply with the DMCA. Incomplete submissions may be rejected or delayed.
- Submitting in English helps expedite review. We may request certified translations where required.
